The Scythians at the British Museum
The British Museum just garnered 5 star reviews across the board for its current exhibition of the Scythians. Little known today, they were ferocious nomads from what is now Southern Russia down into Iran - a whole region that makes us the middle portion of the Silk Roads. Clever old BM for flushing out artefacts from the Hermitage - and what stunning beauty to behold. Scythian liked their gold, and their buckles are extraordinary in themselves. An in-depth tour with the Curator of the Museum will follow in January.
